Code of Conduct for Virtual Learning

It takes a commitment from students, parents, and school staff to ensure appropriate conduct during distance learning on virtual platforms. Open Enrollment Changes

The Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District’s Open Enrollment policy is changing
These changes apply only to students who are applying for new permits. Students who currently have approved permits, will not be affected by these changes. Please also note that this change in policy eliminates year-round Open Enrollment. The only opportunity for your student to transfer will be during the Open Enrollment period. Legislative Update: AB104 Information

On Thursday, July 1, 2021, Governor Newsom signed Assembly Bill 104 into law, and we’d like to provide you with important information on how this legislation may relate to your student. Learning Model Commitment Form

On March 1, 2021, the NLMUSD School Board voted to reopen elementary schools:
Preschool and Grades TK – 2 on March 29, 2021
Head Start and Grades 3 – 5 on April 12, 2021

Elementary school parents/guardians have the option to choose if their child remains in distance learning or returns to school for in-person instruction in a hybrid model.

Please select your option by completing our online form by Monday, March 15, 2021. The option you select for your child(ren) is for the remainder of the school year. If we do not receive your commitment form by March 15, 2021, your child will be placed in the revised distance learning model for the remainder of the year.
